Ada 'A secret hides in this forest'
One day I went hunting with dad and my best friend which is
Skye when we got there, there was a sign nailed between the entrance it said ‘a secret hides in this forest’. Come on Skye, come on dad there could be a big treasure at
the end. We walked and walked and walked
until suddenly we saw another sign. The sign said keep on checking but beware
the big trap. Hhhmmmmm, maybe we
should be careful. Hey skye I found it see it wasn’t that hard. Rrrrooaaarrrr. Oh man. Get your
gun bang, bang, bang, bang. Out of bullets. Get your sword of death.
Bravely Skye picked out her sword and shoved it into the big fat tigers nose. Hhhiiirrraaa. Come on lets go
take this home to mum and Taika. And we all lived happily ever
after.
Skye 'A secret hides in this forest'
If a secret hides in this forest.
If that was true, I would not loose if I had my friend by my side. We'd go searching together for the treasure, and hope it would be fun but... what we didn't know was that a sly fox was setting traps to stop us. We came past the first trap. We were dumbfounded, by our surprise Hunter was trapped in a fence of spikes. We used our flying powers to lift him out. By our surprise he had been spying on us! so we moved him out of the way like a door. Now he was dumbfounded! We were boiling mad! We moved on still boiling mad!The next trap was easy to see because it was a cage sitting on a group of mossy rocks. But Skye unfortunately walked into the cage! And walked out again!Whew! But it toppled onto her and she got trapped "OH THAT SLY FOX!!!!!"wailed Ada.

Duffy Assembly
On Monday we had our first Duffy Assembly for the year. We had a special guest speaker and he was an ex rugby league player. He spoke to us about how important it is to read and then her gave us our box of books. when we got back to class we were given our Duffy books to read. We really enjoy receiving our books.

Picture Path
We had a student teacher working in Room Seven her name was Miss Bridgeland. We did reading with her and worked on our retell of the story we had read. We had to draw a picture path to retell our story. We had a lot of fun doing this and found it a great way to retell our stories.
Make your own slideshow with music at Animoto.
Place Value
In maths we had been learning about place value. We had to be able to tell how many ones and tens in a given number. We made place value pirates to show what we had learnt.
Lolly pop flowers
Room 7 made lolly pop flowers. We were learning about the artist Frederick Hundertwasser. First we painted background stripes with warm colours then we painted a striped piece of paper with cool colours. When they were dry we decided what one will become our background. We traced circles big and small. We drew stems then we glued them on.

I went to Napier for a judo. We stayed at a motel. The motel had a bouncy castle and go cart. For the tournament I didn't win a medal but I tried my best Maybe I will get a medal next time. My brother and my sister won a medal. My brother won a gold and a silver and my sister just got a silver. I took Mr Nibbles and a camera to Napier.
Bookmarks
During reading we have been learning to read independently for longer period of times. We all had to choose a good fit book. then we started to read our books. Most of us had picked picture books and when we had stopped reading we had no way to mark our page so we all made book marks. We think our book marks are really neat and now we can easily mark our page.
